Our Mission

To provide an elementary education of the highest quality enriched with the teachings of the Greek language, history and culture, and the Greek Orthodox faith in a warm, family oriented Christian environment.

To prepare our students for success in their future academic pursuits and for success in community and family life.

Our History

Socrates Greek American School is an integral part of the Greek Orthodox community of Holy Trinity.  Established in 1897, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is Chicago's first permanent Greek Orthodox parish.  Founded in 1907, Socrates School was the first Greek school in the world outside of Greece.  Today, more than 90 years later, Holy Trinity and Socrates School continue to serve the spiritual and educational needs of Chicago's Greek American community.
